Mary Ann Burnett Harris

Mary Ann Burnett Harris, 81, Du Quoin, passed away at 10:55 p.m. Saturday, April 19, 2003 at Fairview Nursing Center.
Mrs. Harris had been a Hairdresser.  She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ and volunteered at the Du Quoin Food Pantry,  Blood Drives for the Red Cross and participated in many church activities.
She was born June 11, 1921 in Du Quoin, the daughter of Nicholas and Agnes Glorine (Isaacs) Gidak.  She married Harley A. Burnett on July 19, 1942 in St. Genevieve, Mo. and he preceded her in death on June 10, 1987.  She then married Wilford Leclair Harris on March 14, 1992 in Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on January 19, 1996.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, James F. Burnett and Mary Payne of Carbondale.; one daughter, Barbara McConville of Du Quoin; one grandson, Rick McConville of Wake Forest, N. C. and two great-grandchildren, Megan and Cole McConville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, two sisters and two brothers.
Graveside services were held Wednesday, April 23 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin with Rev. Paul Schultz officiating.  Burial ollowed.
Those attending the services were asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Neal-McClure Funeral Home in Du Quoin was in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the donors choice in Marys name.
